The last 21 years have been a heartwarming experience serving the elderly. My journey began when my mother was brain injured in a car accident in 1987. We as a family had to endure many trials, heart aces, and learning experiences.Years later I found the desire to help others not experience the hardship our family had with our mother.

These years of service have opened up my heart to love deeper both spiritually and emotionally. Fear of the unknown has vanished, I embraced the future, positively with an open mind.

I am truly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to serve because life’s fulfillment is through service.

So, I begin a new chapter of service to help more family member’s of the elderly by giving my knowledge, and experiences to those who are in need. I wil do this through a weekly post on our website.

My Tip for the week: Handling the Workload of Mom or Dad with Dementia.

1. Have a family meeting
2. Pick a person responsible for each category i.e. medical appointments, outings, etc.
3. Set a daily schedule so your loved become familiar with a routine
