About ASC

At Alternative Senior Care our mission is to Provide Families Peace of Mind their loved one is properly cared for in a safe, secure environment. We know firsthand the importance of quality of care because we’ve been faced with the challenges of finding quality care for our loved ones.

In 1987 Rebbecca Lousie Olson our mother and grandmother started showing signs of dementia. All of a sudden we were faced with the decision of finding care and supervision for her. We first tried a caregiver coming into her home known as home care. This was great for when she was able to still provide most of her ADLs (Activities of Daily Living). As her dementia progressed we noticed the attention she required increased dramatically and she needed 24 hour care and supervision. We began to look beyond home care into a facility setting. As a family we wanted the best for Rebecca the type of care if we were to stay home and care for ourselves. After an exhaustive search we were not happy with our options so we decided to step into the role of caregivers. After a few years of providing the ultimate care Rebbecca required we felt it was our calling to help other families faced with the same obstacles the type of care their loved ones needed.

Over the last 11 years we have developed care programs for our residents that allow them to improve physically and mentally. Some our residents come to us under directive of a hospice agency with only a few months to live. Teaming up with the hospice nurses and staff we will work together to improve the quality of life this person and have seen residents been taken off of hospice.
